As a conference interpreter for English and Spanish based in Wuppertal, I provide highly-proficient and skilled interpreters for your event.

Audio systems and special services

Simultaneous interpreters work in an interpreting booth and the sound is transmitted to the participants via headphones. The great advantage of simultaneous interpreting is real-time transmission, with virtually no loss of time. Equipment such as an interpreter’s booth, sound equipment and headphones are necessary. If it is an event where you want to be mobile (e.g. for factory or exhibition tours), a tour guide system can be used.

Video conferences

Simultaneous interpretation of video conferences is also called Remote Simultaneous Interpreting (RSI). The term simply stands for remote simultaneous interpreting via one of the video conferencing platforms such as Zoom or Mikrosoft Teams, into which an interpreting channel can be embedded or is already provided with the help of a conference sound equipment provider.

Tour guide system

For small groups taking part in a factory tour, for example, or events of short duration with a small number of participants, I have my own tour guide system with microphone and headsets for up to 20 listeners. Even if there is background noise, your guests can follow your speaker’s words undisturbed.

Translation of certificates

The certified translation of documents can either be delivered in paper form with a stamp and signature or electronically with a digital signature. However, the verification of the digital signature is not yet possible for every recipient. Therefore, you must make sure that the recipient of your digitally certified document is authorised for electronic legal transactions and can accept the qualified digital signature.

Simultaneous interpretation

With simultaneous interpreting, the listener can follow the contributions via headphones. The interpreters work in pairs from a booth, which is offered by specialised conference equipment companies, or with a mobile tour guide system, which I can provide for you. The clear advantage of this pleasant way of interpreting is the direct transmission without loss of time. Video conferences can also be interpreted in this way.

Consecutive interpretation

In consecutive interpreting, the interpreting only takes place after the respective speaker, usually in sections. This means that there is always a pause for the listeners during which they have to wait for the contribution in their language. Due to the greater time required, this type of interpreting is more suitable for shorter conversations.

Whispered interpretation

Whispered interpretation or chuchotage is also a type of simultaneous interpreting, but without the use of technical aids. The interpreter stands next to one or two participants and whispers the interpretation simultaneously into their ears. Whispered interpreting is not suitable for larger groups or if more than one or two participants need interpretation.
